Card Making

The Card Making group meets on the first Thursday afternoon of the month at St Thomas's Church Hall. The group encourages members to share the skills, techniques, and inspiration involved in making beautiful handcrafted greeting cards, in a friendly and informal environment.

The group welcomes both experienced card makers and beginners. For anyone new to this addictive craft, one of the group leaders would be happy to run a starter session with them on a one to one basis, or in a small group, to teach some of the basics.

We usually make two cards per meeting, using a variety of papercraft techniques. A charge of £6 per meeting covers the cost of hiring the hall and the products used to make the cards. Regular members are asked to bring a basic tool kit and their own adhesives. Potential new members are asked to let us know to expect them, so we can make up enough card packs.

The group is limited to a maximum of 12 members, and we currently have a few spaces. If you are interested in joining the group, having a starter session to learn the basics, or just want to know more, please email us at
