Computer Club

The Computer Group is now up and running!

The first few meetings established the members requirements which were essentially;

Using the Internet combined with how to use Emails, Photography, Word processing and eventually Spread-Sheets.
The initial meetings seem to be successful and the number of members remain consistent at approximately 18 to 20.

For members who would like to join us we meet weekly (except school holidays) on Thursday afternoon at 16:30 at Brookside Primary School, High Lane (behind the Tennis Club)

                          Proposed Syllabus starting on Thursday 14th October

Course format:
It is suggested that the formal training element be limited to
40 minutes maximum per session leaving the remainder of the evening for practice.  We will endeavour to follow this format except for the first session which will be aimed at the beginner with no knowledge of computers.
In addition more time will be allocated for each topic covered, as the feed-back from the previous course was that insufficient time was allowed and the topics covered were rushed.
Because using the internet requires an understanding of communicating by letters and graphics the formal talk on using the intemet will be left until later in the syllabus,
