LOVE TO SING? COME AND GIVE THE U3A CHOIR A TRY!

It is a well-known fact that singing is good for our well-being - both physical and mental. The U3A choir meet in High Lane village hall on Windlehurst Road every Friday from 10 am to 12 noon.

We are a very friendly and supportive group and currently have around 26 members. We sing mostly in 4-part harmony - Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass. The ability to read music isn’t essential - our wonderful accompanist, Margaret Glynn, produces teacher tracks for everyone to listen to and learn from.

We have a lovely, varied repertoire, ranging from ABBA, Simon and Garfunkel and Billy Joel at one end of the spectrum, through songs from musicals to more classical pieces at the other.

So if you want to improve your wellbeing, make new friends and have fun into the bargain, do come along and give the choir a try. We’d be especially pleased to recruit some additional tenors and basses, but of course ladies are most welcome too!
