MATINEE CLUB
The
Matinee Club
covers the four U3A branches in our
area ---High Lane, Romiley, Marple, and Marple Bridge & Mellor.
The
club was started several years ago before Marple Bridge &
Mellor
was
formed and on inception were invited to join in.
The club visits theatres as far afield as Stratford, the Lake District, Theatre Clwyd and the New Vic in Newcastle under Lyme, as well as The Lowry, The Crucible, The Royal Exchange, The Library Theatre, Bolton Octagon and the Buxton Opera House..

We are a Matinee Club and cannot at present organise evening visits.

30th March. Lowry Theatre, 2.30pm. “April in Paris” by John Godber, presented by The Hull
Truck Theatre Company. Tickets cost £14.00, coach £6.00.
18th June. The Octagon Theatre, Bolton, 2.00 p.m. “Sweeney Todd” A Musical Thriller.
Tickets cost £8.50, coach £6.50.
3rd August. The Royal Exchange Theatre, 2.30 p.m. “As You Like It” by William Shakespeare.
Tickets cost £15.00, there is no coach. Last date for booking - 20th June.
5th October. Lowry Theatre, 2.00 p.m. “Top Hat” by Irving Berlin.
