Nomination for Committee 2016 - Several Committee members are retiring this year so we need new Committee members for 2016. These will be elected at the AGM in February. If you would like to join the Committee please print off the nomination form from the last page of the November newsletter, ask fellow members to nominate and second you, and give the completed form to Margaret McDermott or Sue Harlin before the AGM. 
Christmas Party - this years's Christmas party will be at the December monthly meeting on 9 December. The entertainment is the Bus Pass Band presented by Clyde Raine and the Ukelele group. There will also be some festive foods, quizzes and carols. Cost £4. Admission by ticket on sale at the October and November meetings. Note that numbers are limited and restricted to High Lane U3A members only.
Social evening - this years's social evening is 31 October.  Curry or hotpot, quizzes and good company for just £9. Get your ticket at the next monthly meeting.  Note this event is restricted to High Lane U3A members only.

Storytelling and Groups workshop organised by Greater Manchester network of U3As of which we are now a member. This day will focus on Storytelling, Creative Writing, Family History and Local History. The workshop is on Monday 5 October 2015 at Cross Street Chapel, Cross St, Manchester M2 1NL. The event starts at 11 am and runs until 4pm with a break for lunch. Tickets cost £5. Click here for further details and to obtain an application form.
