Initially it is intended to cover the Northwest as there are many subjects of interest from power generation to textiles. It is envisaged that the format will be of visits using our own cars, with cost sharing, and will be on weekdays and weekends where appropriate, due to the heavy U3A weekly programme. At the January meeting a list will be available to which anyone interested can add their names. From January you will be able to exchange those viewed films/DVDs/videos free at the monthly meetings. Simply bring along your offering & exchange it for something new or even something you've always wanted to see again. Like for like exchange i.e. swap a video for a video or DVD for a DVD. We will happily keep a WANTED log for members to ask for particular films. Anyone got the BBC suffragette history series “Shoulder to Shoulder”? I've been hunting that for years. To get us started we would be very grateful for any donations – especially those lovely new films you enjoyed over Christmas!
